Providing an update. Moved away from Apex and using the Fusion Gamer framework now. Dark themes really make anime pictures sparkle.

XF 1.5 bringing in native tags has been a godsend for us, much easier to tag related threads to specific anime titles - and the added benefit that XFMG and Showcase (and other add-ons) using native tags makes it so valuable now.

Also utilising a thread covers add-on - adds a nice fun touch!

As always, any feedback is welcome. And of course if you're a fan of anime, you are very welcome to join the fun. :)

Still looks fantastic :), great job.

Just beautiful.. the best theme I've seen on here.

I love what you did with the post-covers showing where everyone has their gallery/media. Just like if it was a Wordpress article.
What addon is that?

And, all your Media Gallery, just wow. Thats not just XenForos media gallery right? Yours looks perfect, I wish I had them for my underground Cult-Movies forum, to classify flicks!

...I just bought Fusion Gamer.
Credit to you @Optic

Great looking style! The middle of your postbit seems a little bare, are you planning on adding more user info there?

(because Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex is awesome) xD

Thanks! I think for now we'll keep it bare to give ample room for badges. I was considering giving members the ability to change the background of the postbit by selecting a texture or perhaps featuring a character of their choosing but the theme is already quite image heavy already...

I will say that your site is one of the most nicest looking sites I have ever come across. Everything just blends well together.

WRT the post bit, there are not many XF sites that use horizontal post bits (actually, besides my site, yours is the only other one I came across - I think). They work great when their is a lot of data you want displayed, the drawback is when you do not currently have that data and there are significant gaps. I would suggest to mitigate that, that you consider left justifying the data blocks so that any gap is to the right, out of the direct line of sight for anyone reading, :)

Or, display default data, or potential data that a member has not earned yet, and is "greyed" out until they achieved it, maybe.

All anime fans are welcome. :)

Forum URL: https://animeforums.net/community/
*gush* so pretty!

Fun fact: If you go to UI.X Global Settings in the style properties, you can set the welcome block to use backstretch. Your selector would be
Code:
#uix_welcomeBlock
Then you can animate different backgrounds in if you'd like. Not that it needs it, just a tip in case you were curious! Great job as always!

I like how customized this looks, a lot of flair.

Some suggestions.

On the forums page I think the top banner shouldn't be so big, takes up the whole screen when there's no reason to, I would probably cut it in half.

For the posting pages I think the profile info for members shouldn't be so big. It interrupts a fluent reading experience as members are trying to read the thread, instead of going from post of post they have to navigate past these large profile sections after every post. Either make it smaller or move it back that the left side.

Just some thoughts and really like the look of it, seems like a lot of work has gone into it.
