RIP Whitney.

Her brain was so fried from drugs it was hard to listen to her get interviewed in the last few years.
Incredible shame, she really had an incredibly beautiful voice.

There are most likely many factors that led Amy and Whitney to drug and alcohol addiction. One is they both hooked up with the wrong guys, who introduced them to drugs. Another is they were both subjected to a great deal of jealousy. There is a reason why it's called "murderous envy." It's one of the hazards of beauty, talent, and fame, and can cause great harm to the human spirit.
