Since upgrading from 1.5 to 2.1 my members have been saying the alerts menu has changed. They are frustrated that if they have 10 new alerts, they click for the drop down menu, then click through to a new post, read it, then click the menu again and all those new alerts are marked as read and they have trouble figuring out where they left off. I do admit I am a little bit frustrated with it too when there are several or more new alerts. Did this functionality change since 1.5? Is there some way to remedy this kind of situation?
