XF 2.1 Alerts and Message Pulldown on Mouseover

Hello,

some users said, they have had an automatic pulldown on mouseover for alerts and messages in XenForo 1.5x, but not in the upgraded XenForo 2.16. I cannot reproduce this mouseover behavior. Any idea? Is there a toggle somewhere? Or a browser configuration?

Menu items in XF2 must be clicked.

There is no option to make them open on hover.
