Admin Extra 3.0

Silly question but I saw a post by Jacqui that this site is under new management? All I remember who ran it before was Brad and Azhria. Did they sell it or something? Don't you run TheAdmineZone? So you run Admin Extra too?

Yeah, I own the Admin Zone and Admin Extra both. Lisa sold AdEx to me last year and I took over the site a few months ago. The original plan was to merge the two sites after converting TAZ to XenForo but once I became familiar with AdEx I decided to keep them separate. :)

Liking the larger nav version and nice work in reviving the community (didn't think you would pull that one off) but Arty did a sweet job with the style and the forum seems to be ticking along nicely. I see you resurrected my account *shakes fist at waindigo* :D

Nice work. And good suggestion @DRE on the larger nav.

Thanks Shelley. :) I didn't get what DRE was saying at first, but after trying out his suggestions I have to agree its quite useful, especially when using mobile devices. It doesn't look too shabby either. Do you think we should add them as an option to the liquid version as well?

We still have a lot of work to do in reviving the community but as you say it is ticking along nicely. I'm pretty pleased about that actually. :cool:

As for restoring your account, it wasn't something I did lightly - I thought about it for a long time. Ultimately I decided that "Guest Shelley" was not a suitable representation of your importance to the site - you contributed far too much to it for that. :barefoot:

The larger navigation menu tab was default in the previous theme for the site. No one I know of complained about it, so I don't think it would be inconvenient to include a fluid theme for it too.
 
Was having a browse around and the "top" button is a pain to hit with my fat fingers when on my ipad...

Otherwise looks rather splendid (y)

I'm not sure that we can increase the size of that button without mucking up the style. But let me ask you this, have you tried touching the upper left corner of the screen on the iPad (where it says iPad)? I recently found that this takes you to the top of the page as well, at least on iOS7.

I was perusing @Shelley's BBSmiley site today and happened to post in a thread inquiring about Halloween graphics. The next thing I know Shelley is telling me about 3 different Admin Extra holiday logos filed away in an old style folder. I never would have found them if she hadn't mentioned them to me.

Anyhow, Halloween has hit Admin Extra! Thanks Shelley! :D
