Addons Deprecated by Xenforo Updates

I've been meaning for a while to install the XFRocks Tag add-on but what are the key difference with that one and the upcoming one built into 1.2?

Ps. I should really install it and test it out. But I like to hear others thoughts on the matter.

Ah that would have been a nice feature, especially if your away from the computer which would then get an alert to your mobile. Perhaps this might be added later, hopefully.

It's the email alerts when users are tagged that will keep me using this add-on. My forum members find this really useful and it would be a backward step for them to use the built in tagging in 1.2 if it doesn't come with email alerts.

I've highlighted some add-on which I've kept (obvious as they are on the list), but that I think I could remove without it affecting me in any ways, but I'm mildly reluctant to do so.

User Albums & User Albums More, I plan on removing as soon as Xen Media Gallery has a reporter.

I'm open up to other suggestions though on my list on what should go before 1.2

Feel free to go into Debug mode and merge all my addons into one resource, since I'm not updating anything TMS-related. Meta-tag and Auto-ping were useless from my tests, Instagram media site stopped working for me for whatever reason, you should use the Pin It Template Edit I posted instead of that addon,

What happens when you upgrade to 1.2 and you have one of these deprecated addons running? Will that conflict and wreck your site? I can see all sorts of errors being created. There hasn't been much talk of the upgrade process. Some sites run over 100 addons! Pretty hard to pick through each one and every nuance of 1.2

This is one of the reasons why I'll backup my database and files first, disable the add-ons, then proceed with the update. From there, I'll slowly enable them. TMS will be the first I enable. So I should have a good answer on that.

I'm not sure how I would apply template edits without it.

What happens when you upgrade to 1.2 and you have one of these deprecated addons running?

Nothing that I can tell. I had a few running up to yesterday. Simply because I lost track of what the core -vs- my add-ons installed.

I got no errors or issues in 1.1.3, 1.1.4, or 1.1.5. 1.2 maybe a different ball game though. We'll soon find out.

So will these duplicate addons be removed from the resource area because they are no longer needed? I can see people downloading addons thinking that they are adding something but don't see that it is already inside the software. Confusion, possible errors galore.

I've started removing some add-ons myself with a few others yet to be removed. Also glad to see that I can also eliminate a couple of template edits (ribbons usergroups) and another can't recall what that is.

I don't think they'll be branched off. Most add-ons should state the versions they work with.

When you merge a post that has a tagged post, into an existing post that does not have a tagged post, will that poster still get the alert?
