As for live chat I've never been a fan of them on forum boards as it takes away from the board activity personally. However I do install some sort of chat/chatbox for my admins/mods. It tends to spend up the work flow if one is not able to get on skype/vent.

Me too. It's as if a user instills his or her emotions into ink. Fiction books are a good example.

I love addonchat... the integration is the reason its so much better than all others.

As for it taking away from board activity... yes, it does. It takes away from the BAD activity. Instead of random posts, 1 sentance threads and simple questions; people ask them in the chatroom.

Get the enterprise version - it includes database integration.

You can get DB integration with Professional Plus, or alternatively purchase Professional and the module for DB integration ($20 less than PP). You only really need enterprise if you need moderated event chat (submit a question, moderator approves, guest talks, etc).
