i find this a complete deterrent from using the activity stream, however i dont think the ideal solution being total removal...
the problem is there are alot more reactions than other content, which gets in the way of absorbing the more substantial recent publishings.....
viewing the reactions tho can be an interesting marker of which users have been active, as there will always be some lurkers who dont post much...
i would like to see an improvement by putting reactions in a tab, in the "whats new" section....
any good odds of that happening?
