XF 2.2 add meta tag on thread_view

Can someone help , i need to use this meta :
<meta name="robots" content="index, follow" />
to be displayed just on thread pages .

What does that mean?

As far as I know, the post above by @briansol is true.

If you are seeing something different, the question you should be asking is why and what is removing that meta tag from your Xenforo forum.

google and all other robots INDEX and FOLLOW by default. There is 0 advantage, or point, in including that tag.

Because it's a waste of time and for that reason will be ignored.

Googlebot and the robots for all other search engines always follow and (potentially) index links that they find on a page unless they are explicitly instructed NOT to do so, either with a tag like <meta name="robots" content="noindex, nofollow" /> or with an instruction in robots text NOT to index or follow links in specific folders or by adding rel="noopener" to the end of a specific link.
