Without a function to unlink all links in a block of text, it becomes harder for people to remove links from text and as a result we will just end up with more dead links on our sites. And thus lower Google ranking. Please bring the unlink button back.

I cant even repost a relevant announcement without editing a mass of links or alternatively reformatting the whole thing. This doesn't seem handy.
There is a hidden function to unlink an individual link, but AFAIK this will not allow you unlink a block of text.
