XF 2.0 Account Confirmation Email Link Leads to "The requested page could not be found."

After registering an account on my site, a confirmation email is sent. Once I click on the confirmation links, it takes me to a page that says "The requested page could not be found." and does not confirm my account.

I've read this could be due to what I set for my Board URL, but no one seemed to explain how to fix it.
Right now my board URL is set to https://www.MYWEBSITE.net/forums

What should I change to fix this issue?

Drop the /forums - your installation is in the domain root.
