XF 2.2 404 Not Found in Forums

I've recently uploaded my forums and it was working fine but when I was in the admin CP I think I changed something but can't seem to fix the error of it no longer displaying categories, forums or topics. The index page loads fine but when I click on a link I get the attached 404

I thought this would be due to the "Enable board URL canonicalization" option but I disabled it again and it didn't fix the issue. I also replaced the .htaccess with the original file from the initial upload.

How can I fix this? Thanks in advance

Most likely you have enabled Friendly URLs but there is no .htaccess file in place.

Rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess .

If it still doesn't work. disable FURLs and contact your host to get the server configured to support them.

Thank you. FURLs should be working but I disabled it in the SEO section and I can see my topics again. With FURL enabled it would display the path as forums/forums/xxxx but I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. But now I know where to look

If XF is installed in the /forums directory, then /forums will be in all routes, e.g.

forums/forums
forums/threads
forums/members

etc.
