Tip: Don't push this too hard. On a few seconds frequency, if you have 15,000 different instances of the same thing happening at once, it will cost you. It's a cron. Run the cron manually or set it to a higher frequency.

I created a post that I didn't end up posting, but I'm still getting alerts to the thread and when I check back my draft post is pre-filled into the editor.
Also, was there supposed to be a notification that the draft was saved? If so, I've not seen it.
Not currently.
I'm confused.... what are the alerts that op is talking about?

Apparently this didn't work for me. I randomly quoted someone and just left it there. Later I came back to that thread and noticed the saved draft. I didn't plan on replying and I had read your post earlier so I thought I know I'll do what Clickfinity said, delete the text and just click post reply. It actually ended up posting my draft.Just coming back to this - because I've been "haunted" by cached drafts following me around various threads most of today - you can remove the cached content by highlighting it, pressing delete, and then clicking Post Reply.
You get a warning you can't submit an empty post but it does "clear" the cache (presumably by refreshing it with the new [empty] content).![]()
