XenCustomize User Content Export for XenForo 2​

Export a user's forum posts, conversations, resources, and media activity to CSV — with control over content types and moderation status.

User Content Export lets XenForo administrators download content created by an individual user in a CSV file. It supports XenForo content, private conversation records, and optional Resource Manager and Media Gallery content.

Search for a username, review the available content and counts, choose what to include, and download the CSV.

Key Features​

Find a User
Search with username autocomplete and see the content types available for that user, with counts before exporting.

XenForo Content

• Threads: Thread titles and details, without message text.
• First posts: Opening messages of threads started by the user.
• Posts: The user's other forum posts, excluding first posts.
• Profile posts: Profile messages written by the user.
• Profile post comments: Comments written by the user on profile posts.
• Conversations: Details of conversations started by the user.
• Conversation messages: Only messages written by the selected user, including replies in other users' conversations.

Conversation exports are unchecked by default. Other participants' messages and recipient lists are not exported.

Resource Manager Content (XFRM)
When XenForo Resource Manager is installed and active, export:

• Resources and their details.
• Resource descriptions.
• Resource updates.
• Resource reviews, including ratings and review text.
• Resource review responses attributable to the user.

Media Gallery Content (XFMG)
When XenForo Media Gallery is installed and active, export:

• Media details and descriptions.
• Albums and their details.
• Media comments.
• Album comments.

Images, videos, and other uploaded files are not included in CSV exports.

Flexible Selection & Accurate Counts
Content types are grouped by XenForo product. Select individual types or use Select all; only types with exportable records are shown. Thread details, first posts, and other posts are separated so their messages are not repeated.

Moderation Status Controls
Visible content is exported by default. Separate checkboxes let you include deleted or unapproved content, with counts for each status. Filtering also considers the status of related parent content.

CSV Export
Download UTF-8 CSV files with original stored text, BBCode where applicable, dates, content IDs, relationships, moderation states, and relevant resource or media details. Export processing is designed to reduce memory use for larger content histories.

Native Admin CP Integration
Open Users → Data portability → Export user content, or use the shortcut on the Users listing page. Access is restricted to administrators with the required Users permission.

• Archiving a user's contributions across your community.
• Reviewing forum, conversation, resource, and media activity.
• Keeping records before account or content cleanup.
• Exporting selected records for offline review or analysis.

Important Information​

• Administrator exports may include private forum, profile, conversation, or media content regardless of normal viewing permissions. Keep downloaded files secure.
• Only the selected user's authored conversation messages are included; recipient lists and other participants' messages are excluded.
• Attachments, downloadable resource files, and media files are not included.
• Very large exports may be limited by server execution time or temporary storage capacity.

Compatibility & Requirements​

• XenForo 2.3.0 or newer.
• XenCustomize Core Library 1.0.4 or newer.
• Administrator access with the required Users permission.
• XenForo Resource Manager and Media Gallery are optional; their export groups appear only when the corresponding add-on is active and supported.
