📜 XenCustomize On This Day in History 2.3.3 Released!

This update focuses on better CSV import tracking, detailed reporting, and easier import management.

Admins can now review past CSV imports, see exactly which records were skipped or failed and why, and download detailed CSV reports to help identify and correct import issues.

We've also improved duplicate reporting and added a convenient Settings shortcut in the Admin CP.

Full Changelog:

🆕 Added

  • Added CSV import history to review past imports, their status, results, and importing administrator.
  • Added detailed results showing which records were skipped or failed and why.
  • Added downloadable CSV reports with the original values, record numbers, and reasons, making it easier to correct records and import them again.
  • Added a Settings shortcut below History event categories in the Admin CP.

✨ Improved

  • Import results now separate skipped duplicates from records that failed validation.
  • Duplicate reports now distinguish records imported previously from duplicates within the same CSV.

🐛 Fixed

- Fixed a template error that could prevent upgrades on older XenForo 2.3 versions, including 2.3.4.

📋️ Notes

  • Detailed reports are kept for 30 days. Import summaries remain until deleted.
  • Deleting import history does not remove imported events or reset duplicate protection.
  • Import history and detailed reports are available for new imports; earlier completed imports are not included.

📜 XenCustomize On This Day in History 2.3.2 Released!

This update focuses on CSV importer performance, reliability, and improved frontend filtering.

We've introduced automatic duplicate prevention, configurable import batch sizes, and better handling of large CSV files with reduced memory usage. Imports are now safer to retry, while several frontend search and filtering issues have also been resolved.

We've also updated the minimum XenCustomize Core Library requirement to 1.0.4.

Full Changelog:

🆕 Added

  • Added automatic duplicate prevention for CSV imports, even when files are renamed or records appear in different files. Duplicates are counted as skipped.
  • Added a CSV import batch size setting in the Admin Control Panel (10-500 records; default: 10).

✨ Improved

  • Reduced memory usage when importing large CSV files.
  • Improved reliability when imports are interrupted or retried, keeping progress and import totals accurate.
  • Improved support for CSV files with optional columns omitted or headers saved by different editors.

🐛 Fixed

  • Fixed the Filter button sending visitors to the forum index when friendly URLs are disabled.
  • Fixed cleared date filters being reapplied when changing pages or switching between grid and timeline views.
  • Fixed searches for 0 not working correctly.

📋️ Notes

  • Duplicate prevention applies to imports made after this update. Earlier imports and manually added events are not checked.
  • Deleting an imported event does not clear its import history; importing the same record again will still skip it.

🔄️ Changes

  • Updated the minimum Core Library requirement to 1.0.4 or newer.
