XenCustomize Notification & Staff Counter Refresh​

Keep alerts, conversations, Approval queue, and Reports counters updated automatically without refreshing the page.

XenCustomize Notification & Staff Counter Refresh keeps important XenForo counters up to date while members and staff browse your forum.

New alerts and unread conversations can appear automatically, while staff can also keep an eye on pending Approval queue items and Reports.

Updated counts are included in the browser tab total, making it easier to notice new activity while working in another tab.

Staff with access to the Approval queue can see pending items update automatically.

Keep the XenForo Reports counter current for staff members who have access to reports.

Browser tab counter
Alerts, conversations, Approval queue items, and Reports can be combined into the number shown in the browser tab title.

This is especially useful when XenForo is open in the background while you work elsewhere.

Efficient multi-tab support
If several XenForo pages are open at the same time, the add-on keeps their counters synchronized while avoiding unnecessary duplicate checking.

Background refreshing
Counter updates can continue while the XenForo tab is in the background, helping you notice new activity without repeatedly returning to the forum.

Administrator Options​

• Enable automatic refreshing: Turn automatic counter updates on or off.
• Refresh interval: Choose how often counters are checked.
• Include Approval queue: Include or exclude Approval queue updates and browser-tab counts.
• Include Reports: Include or exclude Reports updates and browser-tab counts.

User Preference​

Members can disable automatic notification refreshing from their account preferences.

When disabled, the current browser-tab count can still reflect the counters available when the page loads, but they will not continue updating automatically.

License Setup​

After installation, go to the add-on options and open the License options tab to enter your license key. If you have a branding-free license key, you may enter it there as well to remove branding.

License verification may use XenCustomize.com with local caching. Normal installation and uninstallation do not depend on our server being available. An expired license does not disable normal use of the add-on, but an active valid license is required for official support and access to new downloads or updates released after the license expires.
