XenCustomize Auto Watch Content for XenForo 2​

Automatically watch threads after members actively spend time reading them.

Auto Watch Content makes XenForo's built-in thread watching smarter by automatically watching threads after a member has actively viewed them for their chosen amount of time.

Instead of watching every thread a member simply opens, it waits for genuine viewing activity before adding the thread to their Watched Threads. Everything happens automatically with no action required on the thread page.

Key Features​

Automatic Watching After Active Viewing
Threads are automatically watched once the member reaches their selected viewing time.

⏱ Flexible Viewing Time
Members can choose from 30 seconds, 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, or 15 minutes.

Active Viewing Detection
Viewing time is counted while the member is actively viewing the thread and pauses when the page is no longer actively being viewed.

Optional Email Notifications
Members can choose whether automatically watched threads should also receive email notifications.

Native XenForo Watching
Automatically watched threads use XenForo's normal watch system, so existing alerts, emails, Watched Threads, and manual watch/unwatch controls continue working normally.

Instant Watch Status
When a thread is automatically watched, its Watch button immediately changes to Unwatch without requiring a page reload.

User Preference​

The add-on integrates directly into XenForo's existing:

Account → Preferences → Content options

Members can:

• Enable or disable automatic watching.
• Choose how long they want to actively view a thread before it is watched.
• Enable or disable email notifications for automatically watched threads.

Once configured, no further action is required while browsing threads.

License Setup​

After installation, go to the add-on options and open the License options tab to enter your license key. Footer branding is optional and may be removed from the same License options tab.

License verification may use XenCustomize.com with local caching. Normal installation and uninstallation do not depend on our server being available. An expired license does not disable normal use of the add-on, but an active valid license is required for official support and access to new downloads or updates released after the license expires.
