More Blocks, Better Customization & Easier Page Building
This major update expands Page Builder with new content blocks, richer customization options, live previews, and improved page management. From testimonials and image galleries to roadmaps, community teams, and interactive reactions, there are now even more ways to create engaging custom pages for your XenForo community.
New Features
New Content Blocks
- Added Discussion blocks with Full and Compact layouts, existing thread selection, optional opening posts, and native XenForo replies, attachments, quoting and reactions directly on custom pages.
- Added XFMG Media blocks to display media from categories, albums, or selected items in seven responsive layouts.
- Added Event Cards with three layouts, event and visitor time zones, translated programmes, automatic event states, cancellation and calendar downloads.
- Added Reaction Panels for pages and content blocks, with seven display styles, Like-only mode, native reaction lists, and separate permissions.
- Added Image Galleries with Grid, Mosaic, Filmstrip, and Cover layouts, translated captions, native image viewing, and archive import/export.
- Added Testimonials with Card and List layouts, forum members or custom authors, uploaded avatars, and translations.
- Added a Roadmap block with five layouts, translated milestones, optional dates and links, and drag-and-drop ordering.
- Added a Community Team block with List and Card layouts, manual member selection or automatic staff listings, native avatars, translated roles and descriptions, and profile links.
Page Building & Customization
- Added live block previews with automatic updates, mobile previews, and translated content support.
- Added page embedding in forum messages with automatic height adjustment, access checks, and an expandable preview enabled by default.
- Added block appearance controls with mobile settings and reusable styling, including individual styling for shared blocks.
- Expanded appearance and layout options across existing content blocks.
- Added support for up to 10 CTA buttons with translated labels, drag-and-drop ordering, and flexible sizing and alignment.
- Added an optional Public Page Index with descriptions, per-page visibility settings, and a separate viewing permission.
- Added drag-and-drop page sorting in the ACP, with the same order reflected in the public page index.
- Added per-page options to independently hide the site header, navigation, and footer.
- Added an option to display individual pages using a specific XenForo style for all visitors.
- Added visual cards with miniature previews for block layouts, display styles, and CTA heading sizes.
- Added six Illustration presets: Knowledge base, Events, Resources, Achievements, Security, and Workflow, with customizable colors and details.
- Organized Illustration settings for easier customization of composition, colors, and mobile display.
- Added a permission to view inactive pages and bypass page user criteria, including pages outside their publication period.
- Added an optional high-resolution thumbnail setting for image galleries.
Improvements
- Reorganized block editor settings into Content, Block Options, Appearance, and Advanced sections.
- Added standard XenForo button styles to CTA blocks, feature cards, countdowns, thread lists, and comparison columns while preserving existing appearance options.
- Refined default block presentation with statistic cards, compact discussions, mobile illustrations and single-column mobile galleries. Improved native container spacing and image loading stability.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed CTA text display when a Hero section contains a block with the standard container enabled.
- Fixed long resource card titles and category names being cut off without an ellipsis.
