Showcase Filter by AddonsLab 3.1.4

This update introduces two new configuration options:

1) Collapsible Custom Field Filters

Improve usability in the Showcase filter form when many fields are present by enabling collapsible filters.

New admin setting:

Collapse custom field filters

• None
• Checkbox and radio option lists
• All custom fields

2) Showcase Fields Rebuild Batch Size

Controls how many fields are rebuilt per batch during the rebuild process.

• Set to 0 to use the default automatic behavior.
• Higher values override XenForo’s automatic batch size calculation. It can prevent timeouts on large boards or slower servers.

This release fixes an issue with invalid field index causing a PHP error, in case the custom field gets deleted, and a new field is added of a different type. Now field index values are removed when the field is deleted, so the invalid value is not used later.

The update implements XenForo 2.3.x support. It is also backward-compatible, so XenForo 2.2.x installation upgrade is also recommended.

The update requires the latest version of Filter Framework - https://xenforo.com/community/resources/al-filter-framework.9045/ as well as a new package we have released for resolving compatibility issues between XenForo versions - https://xenforo.com/community/resources/al-compatability-layer.9536/

As a large upgrade, we recommend upgrading a test board first, and only then upgrade the production board.

We have released an add-on with shared functionality of all our "filter" add-ons. The reason for separating this functionality is to make it easier to maintain and to allow for more flexibility in the future.

• Fix: multiple prefix filter not working
• Fix: indexation of array-type custom fields may trigger PHP error
• Enhancement: Do not use AJAX for loading filterable list options if there are no more than 30 options

The release fixes a problem with the option Maximum result count. If the option is set to a low number, the results might not respect the default order if items and older results may be shown. The problem does not affect Elasticsearch back-end.

In this release, we have fixed a bug that caused the Keyword search not to work on the home page. The release also suppresses an error that happens in case of invalid color code being used in Color-type custom fields.
