[MC] Discovery Feeds 1.1.4

Discovery Feeds adds a central ranked feed that aggregates content from across your community, sorted by popularity or recency. Members read, vote, reply and comment on any item from the feed without opening it, and can build their own feeds from the sources they choose.

Features

Central ranked feed that pulls from content from across your community sorted by popularity or recency. Content types can be re-ordered and disabled easily. Supported content:

Four sort modes

• Hot: Reddit-style decay based on reaction score
• New: Latest activity. Threads by last post or creation date. Everything else by creation date.
• Top: Raw reaction score within a day, week, month, year or all time.
• Trending: Default trending formula
• Sorts can be re-ordered and default sort changed.

• Full post rending including BBCode and in-line attachments
• Native polls on threads, votable in place with collapse state remembered
• Open any card's drawer to reply or comment in place

• Support for quoting and multi-quoting posts inside the feed (New in update 1.1.0)

Quick composer (New in update 1.1.0)

• Fully dynamic quick composer for posting threads
• Adapts to forum prefixes and per forum conditions
• Supports attachments and all thread options

Upvoting and downvoting

• Optional upvoting and downvoting based on reactions shown as a side rail or pill
• Configurable upvote and downvote icons
• Individual reactions are configurable to act as upvotes and downvotes

Feeds and filters

• Per-content and cross-type status filters, watching toggle, and forum exclusions
• Users with permission can create their own personal feeds and change their default feed
• Staff with permission can create curated site feeds that all users can access
• Every filter folds into a single feed query, so none adds an extra query

Cross-type inline moderation (New in update 1.1.0)

• Inline moderation actions are supported across all content-types
• Moderator actions may be done separately or applicable actions may done in one pass
• Any moderator action that requires a confirmation window is done in sequence.

Live updates

• Live banner when new content arrives on a configurable interval to refresh the feed
• Optional browser tab counter

Index

• A background index keeps the feed bounded to one query per page.
• One minute ingest and fifteen minute sweep keep it fresh and decay the scores
• Archive retention and reaction floor keeps index from growing unbounded
• Optimized for large boards with CLI.
