We have released a new maintenance update with a few improvements, performance updates, and bug fixes.
Important change that will affect every add-on:
All of our add-ons are now using Core Library in order to maintain shared helpers and utilities across add-ons for easier maintenance and to keep add-ons cleaner. Core Library also covers our branding for all add-ons in one switch without having to turn it off in every add-on.
This update will require Core Library 1.0.1.
Improvements
- Thread cards now have a Share button beside Bookmark
- Each reply in the drawer now has Share, Bookmark and its #N post number, which links straight to the reply in its thread
Performance
- Feed pages are faster on large boards. Counting results now stops once enough items are found instead of counting the whole index
- The live "new posts" check and the unread tab counter are much lighter, and skip their work entirely when nothing new has been posted
- Background indexing does roughly half the database work it did before
- The nightly archive check no longer scans the whole index on every pass
- Fewer database queries per card for events, media in albums, profile post comments and content prefixes
Events (XenCustomize Events Manager)
- Repeating events now move on to their next date in the Upcoming tab instead of dropping out after the first one
- Repeating events no longer show "Ended" after their first date has passed
- RSVP status, places left and capacity now reflect the specific date shown, not the whole series
- The Ended filter now correctly finds past events
- Old repeating events are no longer removed from the feed by the archive cleanup
Bug fixes
- Forums hidden from the forum list but still viewable now appear in the feed
- New forums and permission changes now show up in the feed straight away
- The "Last activity within" filter now uses last activity instead of the creation date
- The Watching and minimum rating filters no longer let through content types that can't be watched or rated
- Items from categories a member can't view no longer take up space on feed pages, so pages are no longer short or empty
- The "new posts" banner no longer drops posts when a lot arrive at once, and no longer shows the same post twice
- Changing sort or filters while more items are loading no longer mixes results from the old view into the new one
- Clicks on sort and filter options are no longer ignored while the feed is reloading
- Going back and forward between feeds now updates the filter sidebar correctly
- Bulk moderation no longer freezes if a single action fails, and failures are now listed clearly
- Moderation actions that need a confirmation step (such as delete or move) can now only be run through their confirmation screen
- Quotes are no longer lost if the reply box takes a moment to open
- Quoting and "Insert quotes" now work in drawers that open automatically
- In-feed ads now number correctly on page 2 and beyond, and now show on content loaded with load more and infinite scroll (Siropu Ads Manager)
- Moderators now see "load more" in reply drawers that contain deleted or moderated replies
- Comment attachments now show in the drawer for articles and profile posts
- The Reply button on comments only shows when you can actually reply
- Page links on a saved feed no longer send you back to the main Discover feed
- The new content indexing interval can now be set to 0 to turn it off, as described
- Replacing the native "Add" buttons no longer hides them on sections that Discovery doesn't cover
- Temporarily disabling an add-on no longer permanently removes its archived items from the feed
- A full index rebuild can no longer get stuck on very old imported content
- New content indexing now runs every minute as configured, instead of roughly every two minutes
- Fixed two missing style colors (bookmark hover and filter input background)
- Fixed a few labels that showed as raw text
