Does Reply Flow replace XenForo’s normal thread layout?

No. Reply Flow is designed to work inside the existing XenForo thread experience. It adds reply navigation tools such as sorting, filtering, search, and user lookup above the post list without replacing the normal thread layout, core templates, or native moderation controls.

Does it work with XenForo 2.3?

Yes. The current stable release is natively built and fully optimized for XenForo 2.3.x.

Is Reply Flow compatible with AdSense or other ad networks?

Yes, completely. Reply Flow does not modify, remove, or interfere with AdSense code or XenForo’s native ad positions. It has been thoroughly tested across all thread scenarios (including sorting, filtering, thread search, and pagination) on both desktop and mobile layouts. Your ad areas will remain completely visible and functional.

Does this add-on negatively affect forum SEO or create duplicate content?

No. Reply Flow does not create separate public content pages or sitemap entries for search engines. It also includes a dedicated Admin CP option called “Noindex dynamic results”. When enabled, it sends an X-Robots-Tag header to safely prevent dynamic sorting and search result pages from being indexed, protecting your forum's core search engine rankings.

Does it require Enhanced Search or Elasticsearch?

No, it is optional. Enhanced Search / Elasticsearch is supported and utilized when available. However, the add-on is designed to respect XenForo's native search system first, and includes a fallback behavior to Reply Flow's local metadata index and post message search so thread-level searching works perfectly on any server environment.

Is it just filtering posts via client-side JavaScript?

No. This is not a simple browser-side hide/show script. While the interface uses AJAX partial refresh to keep the user experience fast and fluid, all sorting, filtering, searching, and pagination logic are handled server-side with XenForo’s thread context, user permissions, and exact result counts in mind.

Can guests use all filters and search tools?

No, guest access is restricted and safe. Member-specific filters such as My replies and Reacted by me are automatically hidden from guests and strictly protected server-side. Guest URL tampering will not return restricted member-specific results.

Can administrators control feature availability?

Yes, absolutely. Reply Flow includes a highly detailed Admin CP option group and dedicated user group permissions. Site owners can choose specific discussion types (discussion, question, article, suggestion), limit the toolbar to selected forums, control autocomplete permissions, and toggle specific filters on or off.

Can it be disabled for a specific thread?

Yes. Reply Flow includes a per-thread disable toggle on the thread edit screen. If you have a specific topic, custom layout, or sensitive discussion where you want to keep the native thread flow untouched, you can turn it off individually with one click.

Does it support XenForo Question Threads?

Yes. It fully integrates with XenForo’s native question threads. When enabled and available, users can utilize "Most voted" sorting to bring the best answers to the top without leaving the thread flow.

Does it work on mobile devices?

Yes. The toolbar is built with a mobile-first, compact layout. It stays neatly tucked away on smaller screens, allowing members to sort, filter, and search long discussions without overwhelming the mobile thread view.

Does it support custom styles/themes?

Many standard-compliant custom styles will work perfectly out of the box. However, if your custom theme heavily modifies core templates (such as significantly moving the first post, quick reply, or pagination wrappers), we recommend testing it on a staging site first. If any specific layout adjustment is ever needed, we are happy to assist with compatibility patches.

Are language files included?

built, high-quality language XML files for Turkish, German, French, Chinese, and Russian. They can be easily imported via the XenForo language system.

Can it be uninstalled cleanly without breaking the forum?

Yes, it is entirely lifecycle-safe. Reply Flow is engineered with strict database integrity in mind. Upon uninstallation, it completely purges its own metadata tables, schema columns, user permissions, cron entries, and queued jobs, leaving your XenForo database completely clean.

What does one license cover and how long is support included?

A single purchase grants a single-use commercial license valid for one live XenForo installation. You are allowed to run a private test or staging installation for the same licensed domain. The initial purchase includes 6 months of updates and technical support.
