This addon allows the integration of an external database for redeeming keys so that users can automatically give themselves roles. This addon has been in closed beta testing for over a year.
Update 1.1.0:
It is possible to decide whether users can activate multiple keys or only one. To make a brute force attack impossible, a captcha must be solved.
To make the redeeming process easier, the key can also be passed in the url.
It is possible to set that you have a group for the keys and these groups get different roles in xenforo.
You can also view a history of activations with a search function.
The editing of keys that a user has redeemed is possible with the normal xenforor user administration
This addon is in English and uses only phrases so that translation is possible and uses standard phrases as often as possible. For this reason, German words can be seen in some of the pictures.
It writes the id of the xenforo user into a selected column so that the system recognizes that the key has already been used. This column must be null by default.
The admin rights to edit the settings of the addon can be given individually.
It works very simply. After the installation you go into the admin interface and see a new menu with three sub-items.
Here you click on the first object and fill out everything so that the addon can connect to the database. In addition, you have the option to set that you can also pass the key in the link or in the post content and the on / off switch the option that you can activate several key.
After everything is set, you can now add groups under option 2 in the main menu. Here you set which groupe belongs to which xenforo groupe.
After that, users can simply redeem their key. When multi key activation is active, the previous keys are also displayed to the users on the activation page.
After the purchase you get the download link automatically sent by e-mail. Updates are automatically displayed in the admin interface and can be installed with just a few clicks as well as an update of xenforo 2.
