Eggy Pool itself has not received a new base version, but users of the Eggy Pool Expansion Hub can now upgrade to version 1.0.5.
Expansion Hub 1.0.5 introduces the new Challenges system with Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Repeatable and Countdown challenges.
Challenge progress is tracked automatically through supported Pool and AI gameplay, with configurable targets and Pool Coin rewards.
The existing Trophies section has also been moved into the new Progress area alongside Challenges, keeping progression features together in one place.
The new Progress and Challenges interfaces use AJAX navigation and remain fully mobile friendly, including dedicated support for landscape phone layouts.
This update only requires upgrading Eggy Pool Expansion Hub to 1.0.5. The current Eggy Pool base version remains unchanged.
Emergency fix for ball rolling behaviour.
Ball movement now uses smoother 3D rotation, with improved stripe and number badge motion so the ball surface rolls naturally without pattern deformation or excessive badge spinning.
Eggy Pool 1.0.9 delivers a major gameplay and interface overhaul across desktop and mobile, with a dedicated new control experience specifically for mobile and landscape play.
On mobile and landscape devices, aiming has been reworked to make better use of the available screen space. The table remains clear while lining up shots, and shot strength is now handled through a dedicated power sidebar rather than sharing space with the main aiming controls. This gives mobile players a much cleaner flow when lining up a shot, adjusting power and taking the shot.
The desktop gameplay interface remains separate and familiar, while still benefiting from the wider gameplay improvements introduced in this release.
Across all platforms, ball movement has been improved with visible rolling motion, replacing the previous sliding appearance, and pocket behaviour has been tightened for more consistent potting, particularly around the middle pockets.
The Pool Hall has also received a major navigation and presentation cleanup, with improved responsive layouts and a cleaner arrangement of actions across desktop and landscape modes.
Safety and Call Pocket have also been removed from standard gameplay. Players no longer need to declare a safety shot or select a called ball and pocket before taking a shot. Normal legal pots now continue the turn naturally, making matches quicker and less interrupted while keeping the core foul, scratch, break and 8-ball rules intact.
Eggy Pool 1.0.8 is now available following the release of XenForo 2.3.13.
This maintenance update refreshes the affected XenForo file health hash so Eggy Pool continues to validate cleanly on the latest XenForo 2.3.x release.
No gameplay, physics, rules, features or other functionality have been changed.
Eggy Pool Expansion Hub 1.0.2 is now available and brings several major new systems to the wider Eggy Pool experience.
The Expansion Hub is designed to extend Eggy Pool without overloading the base add-on, and version 1.0.2 adds a much broader set of player-facing features around social activity, progression, customisation and rewards.
What’s included in Expansion Hub 1.0.2
- Pool Clubs giving players a new social system built around the Pool Hall
- Cue Shop with purchasable and equippable cues
- Pool Coins as a spendable reward currency
- Multiplayer and AI coin rewards for eligible completed matches
- Achievement-based Pool Coin rewards where configured
- Automatic cue equipping after purchase
- Live cue visual effects so distinctive cues retain their glow, energy and visual identity during actual gameplay
More than just achievements
Expansion Hub originally launched around Trophies & Achievements, but 1.0.2 significantly broadens its role.
Players can now earn rewards through gameplay, spend Pool Coins in the Cue Shop, build their cue collection, use those cues directly in matches and take part in the new Clubs system.
This gives Eggy Pool a more connected progression loop outside of simply winning or losing individual matches.
Works alongside Eggy Pool
Expansion Hub remains a separate extension and is not required for the core Eggy Pool gameplay experience.
The base Eggy Pool add-on continues to handle the core Pool Hall, multiplayer matches, gameplay, physics and related systems, while Expansion Hub provides the additional progression, social and customisation layer.
Existing Eggy Pool customers interested in these additional systems can find Eggy Pool Expansion Hub through the Eggy product listings.
Expansion Hub 1.0.1 is now available with a major new competitive layer for Eggy Pool.
The update adds player statistics, public profiles, game history, head-to-head records, win streaks, human/AI breakdowns and full community leaderboards.
Players can now compare their own performance with others, track progression over time and jump directly between Trophies, Leaderboards and My Statistics from the Pool Hall.
This is a substantial expansion of the progression and statistics side of Eggy Pool and is available to existing Expansion Hub users now.
A major new extension for Eggy Pool is now available.
Eggy Pool: Expansion Hub 1.0.0 has officially been released and provides the new foundation for expanding Eggy Pool with additional systems, progression features and experiences over time.
The first feature delivered through Expansion Hub is a complete Trophies & Achievements system.
Players can now:
• Earn achievements through normal Pool gameplay
• Build their own Trophy Cabinet
• Collect Trophy Points
• Track progress towards future achievements
• Unlock different rarity levels and trophy styles
• Earn achievements against human opponents
• Unlock additional AI-specific achievements when AI Opponent is installed
• Complete advanced, chained and repeatable challenges
Version 1.0.0 includes 57 achievements out of the box, covering matches, victories, streaks, opponents, potting, 8-ball performance, AI play and much more.
Administrators also receive a full achievement management system in the XenForo ACP, allowing the supplied achievements to be customised alongside completely new achievements of their own.
More than just achievements
Expansion Hub is not an achievements-only add-on.
Trophies & Achievements is simply the first feature released through it.
Expansion Hub has been created as the central platform through which larger Eggy Pool additions can be introduced in future without continually expanding and complicating the core Pool package.
This means Eggy Pool itself can remain focused on the game, while Expansion Hub grows around it with additional progression, competitive and community features.
Requires Eggy Pool 1.0.7 or later.
Eggy Pool: AI Opponent is optional and is only required for AI-specific progression features.
Enjoy the new progression system — and this is only the beginning for Expansion Hub.
Eggy Pool AI Opponent is now released.
This new extension adds a full Player vs AI mode to Eggy Pool, allowing members to jump straight into a game against the computer with four difficulty levels:
Easy, Medium, Hard and Expert.
The AI plays using the same live table experience, with visible cue shots, ball movement, fouls, break decisions and full match progression rather than simply generating instant results.
One of the biggest benefits is that players no longer need to wait for another member to join a live table before they can play. If nobody else is available, they can simply challenge the AI and start a match immediately.
Eggy Pool AI Opponent is completely free for existing Eggy Pool base customers.
To download it, simply visit the Eggy Pool product page and open the Extensions tab. You can download and install AI Opponent directly from there.
This is an optional extension and does not replace the existing live Player vs Player experience.
