The base game can also be expanded through optional Eggy Pool extensions such as AI Opponent and Expansion Hub.

Which XenForo version is required?

AI Opponent provides dedicated Player vs AI matches with multiple difficulty levels and fully animated computer-controlled shots.

Is there a turn timer?

Yes.

Administrators can configure the turn time limit through the ACP.

The active countdown follows the player whose turn it currently is.

What happens if a player disconnects?

Administrators can configure the disconnect detection period and the grace period allowed before the game acts on a disconnected player.

Does Eggy Pool include match chat?

Yes.

Players can communicate directly inside an active Pool match.

Match-chat access is controlled separately through XenForo user group permissions.

Can match chat be disabled for selected user groups?

Yes.

The Send Pool Match Chat Messages permission can be removed without necessarily removing that group's ability to play Eggy Pool.

Can I control who can access Eggy Pool?

Dedicated XenForo permissions control who can:

  • View Eggy Pool
  • Play Eggy Pool
  • Create member Pool tables
  • Send Pool match chat messages

Can users view Eggy Pool without being allowed to play?

Yes.

View Eggy Pool and Play Eggy Pool are separate permissions, allowing communities to configure different levels of access.

Administrators can also set global and per-member limits.

Does Eggy Pool require an external game server?

No separate third-party game service is required for the standard Eggy Pool installation.

Is Eggy Pool a standalone browser game?

No.

Eggy Pool is specifically designed as a XenForo-integrated community game.

It works with XenForo members, user groups, permissions, navigation and administration rather than operating as an unrelated external application.

Yes.

Expansion Hub includes administration tools for managing achievement content and progression rules.

Depending on configuration, achievements can use categories, rarity, prerequisites, chains, repeatable conditions, availability rules and different progression requirements.

Does Expansion Hub include player statistics?

Yes.

Players can view persistent career information including human and AI records, match history, streaks, potting performance, head-to-head records and other tracked statistics.

Can players view another member's Pool statistics?

Yes.

Expansion Hub includes public player statistics so members can inspect other players' records and compare performance.

Are leaderboards available now?

Yes.

Community leaderboards are available through Expansion Hub.

Players can compete across supported ranking categories rather than relying on a single overall score.

What are Pool Clubs?

Pool Clubs are part of Expansion Hub 1.0.2.

They introduce a dedicated social layer around Eggy Pool, giving players another way to participate in the Pool community beyond individual matches and leaderboards.

Is the Cue Shop available now?

The Cue Shop is included with Expansion Hub 1.0.2.

Players can purchase additional cues using Pool Coins, build their cue collection and equip owned cues for use during matches.

What are Pool Coins?

Pool Coins are a dedicated Eggy Pool reward currency provided through Expansion Hub.

They can be earned through eligible Pool activity and spent on supported features such as Cue Shop purchases.

How can players earn Pool Coins?

Current earning routes can include:
  • Completing eligible multiplayer matches
  • Winning multiplayer matches
  • Completing eligible AI matches
  • Winning against different AI difficulty levels
  • Eligible achievement rewards

The available values are also shown through the Pool Coin earning guide.

Do abandoned or forfeited matches award Pool Coins?

Normal completion rewards are intended for valid completed matches.

Forfeited, abandoned or incomplete matches do not receive the standard completion reward.

Do harder AI opponents provide better Pool Coin rewards?

Yes.

Expansion Hub can award progressively larger bonuses for defeating higher AI difficulty levels.

What can Pool Coins currently be spent on?

One of their primary current uses is purchasing additional cues from the Expansion Hub Cue Shop.

The currency system is also designed to support further Expansion Hub reward and progression features.

What happens when a player purchases a cue?

A successful cue purchase adds the cue to the player's collection and automatically equips the newly purchased cue.

The Cue Shop updates without requiring a full page reload.

Can players change their equipped cue later?

Yes.

Owned cues can be selected and equipped for use during Pool matches.

Do custom cues actually appear during gameplay?

Yes.

The equipped cue is used during live gameplay rather than existing only as a shop or collection item.

Do cue glow and energy effects appear during matches?

Yes.

Cues with configured glow, energy, aura or similar presentation retain an appropriately scaled version of their visual identity during live gameplay.

Different cues can therefore remain visually distinct while being used on the Pool table.

Do I need Expansion Hub to play Eggy Pool?

No.

Expansion Hub is an optional extension.

The Eggy Pool base add-on provides the core multiplayer game independently.

Expansion Hub adds the wider progression, statistics, social, reward and customisation systems.

No.

AI Opponent is optional.

Without it, Eggy Pool can still be used for its standard multiplayer Player vs Player experience.

Can Expansion Hub track AI matches?

Yes, when the relevant AI gameplay is available.

Expansion Hub includes support for AI-related statistics, achievements and reward progression.

Is Eggy Pool suitable for competitive communities?

Yes.

The core game provides live multiplayer competition, while Expansion Hub adds persistent statistics, game history, winning streaks, head-to-head records, Trophy Points and community leaderboards.

Pool Clubs add an additional social layer around that competitive environment.

Is Eggy Pool suitable for communities that want long-term progression?

Yes.

The combination of achievements, Trophy Points, statistics, Pool Coins, cue collecting, Clubs and leaderboards provides persistent progression beyond individual matches.

Is Eggy Pool integrated with XenForo permissions?

Yes.

Permissions are enforced by the backend as well as represented within the user interface.

Restricted actions are not intended to rely solely on hiding frontend buttons.

Does Eggy Pool support mobile devices?

Eggy Pool is designed for modern JavaScript-enabled browsers and XenForo's responsive environment.

Actual gameplay experience can vary depending on screen size, browser capabilities and the individual device.

What is the Eggy Pool licence?

Eggy Pool is a paid commercial product.

Optional extensions may have their own product and licence requirements.

How long are Eggy Pool updates included?

A purchase includes 12 months of updates from the date of purchase.

Are new base-game updates included during my update period?

Yes.

Updates released for the Eggy Pool product while your update entitlement remains active are included with that entitlement.

Are optional extensions automatically included with the base Eggy Pool purchase?
