I went into the site to buy this. It seemed to go through without payment. I messaged to make the developer aware and how can I pay and explained the issue with the site not taking payment.
Within the hour of not making payment (I wasn't at the computer) I get threatening emails about "account enforcement" and strangely worded emails.
I can't comment on the plugin, looks like I'm banned from it for not being at my computer at 11pm and being too honest trying to pay.
Absolutely terrible customer service and tone to speak to somebody pointing out they weren't charged.
The restriction was not applied because you reported the payment issue, because you were away from your computer, or because you were “too honest trying to pay”.
You contacted me about the unpaid order, requested the 30% discount code, received it, and were asked to let me know if you had any problems completing payment. A further reminder was then sent when payment remained outstanding.
Before enforcement, there was no indication that you needed more time, intended to pay the following morning, or were experiencing another payment problem. That explanation was only given after the account restriction had already been applied.
What also makes the “it was too late” explanation difficult to reconcile is that, after the restriction was applied, considerably more time was then spent responding to restriction emails and writing this review than completing a normal checkout would ordinarily have taken.
The restriction was therefore based on the unresolved payment and lack of communication after a clear resolution had been provided.
This would also have been your first Eggy licence, so no existing paid licences were revoked.
The outstanding payment has since been waived completely. The Eggy Pool licence remains unavailable and the account restriction remains in place.
You are entitled to disagree with how the situation was handled, but the suggestion that the restriction happened simply because you were not at your computer at 11 PM does not reflect what actually occurred.
As you also state that you cannot comment on Eggy Pool itself, it is important for anyone reading this review to understand that the rating relates to a payment and account dispute rather than the quality or functionality of the product.
