Eggy Fishing 1.0.4a

A small hotfix for the 1.0.4 content expansion.

An issue was identified where some of the newly added fish could appear to swim backwards in the aquarium because their artwork orientation did not match the original fish catalogue.

This has now been corrected across all 20 new species.

The updated build also refreshes the new fish asset references to prevent older cached images from continuing to display after updating.

Existing fish, catches, aquarium contents and player progress are unaffected.

Eggy Fishing & Aquarium 1.0.4 is a major content expansion with significantly more fish to discover, tackle to work towards and achievements to chase.

20 new catchable fish

The Fishing Journal has grown from 26 to 46 species, with new fish distributed across all five existing fishing locations.

New species range from familiar freshwater catches such as Common Bream, Rudd, Smallmouth Bass and Black Crappie through to much tougher targets including Alligator Gar, Paddlefish, Lake Sturgeon and Swordfish.

At the very top of the new collection is the Mythic Blue Marlin, giving experienced anglers another major endgame catch to hunt.

10 new rods

Rod progression has been expanded from 4 to 14 rods.

The new range includes:
Creek Whisper, Floatline 300, CarpCraft 12, PikeForce, Marsh Stalker, Reservoir Heavy, Saltwind Surf, Bluewater Pro, Swordline Elite and the new endgame Abyss X.

The new rods have been balanced around different combinations of supported fish weight, line performance and luck rather than simply making every previous rod obsolete.

10 new bait types

The bait catalogue has expanded from 5 to 15 bait types.

New bait includes Bread Flake, Red Maggots, Tiger Nuts, Bloodworm Cluster, Crayfish Tail, Leech Bunch, Spinnerbait, King Prawn, Peeler Crab and Flying Fish Lure.

New bait compatibility has also been integrated across both existing and newly added species, giving anglers more options when targeting particular waters and fish.

15 new achievements

The built-in achievement collection has expanded from 22 to 37 achievements.

New achievements cover:

• Species discovery milestones
• The complete 20-fish expansion collection
• 250 and 500 catch milestones
• Total landed weight
• Rare, Epic, Legendary and Mythic catches
• Blue Marlin hunting
• Rod collection
• Successful bait usage

The achievement system has also been expanded with new conditions for specific species, equipment ownership, bait usage and defined species collections.

Built-in achievement management in the ACP now offers greater control over titles, descriptions, targets, tiers, display order, conditions and enabled status.

Existing progress is preserved

This is an additive expansion. Existing player levels, XP, credits, catches, aquarium fish, inventory, equipped tackle, discoveries, statistics, records, challenges, expeditions, streaks and achievement unlocks are preserved when upgrading.

1.0.4 takes Eggy Fishing & Aquarium substantially further as a collection and progression game, with more to catch, more to buy and considerably more long-term goals to work towards.

Eggy Fishing 1.0.3 delivers a major upgrade to the mobile gameplay experience.​

Mobile players now get a dedicated landscape fullscreen mode designed specifically around fishing rather than simply using the normal desktop layout on a smaller screen.

The new mobile experience includes:

The aim of 1.0.3 is to make Eggy Fishing feel much closer to a dedicated mobile fishing game while retaining the full XenForo integration and progression systems.

Eggy Fishing 1.0.2 introduces Expeditions, a new progression feature built around rotating Daily and Weekly fishing runs.

Expeditions give players a structured set of objectives to work through using the existing fishing system. Each run is generated from a built in pool of objectives, so players may be asked to catch certain rarities, use particular bait, fish at specific locations, reach weight targets, catch particular species and more.

Daily and Weekly Expeditions each have their own progression, rewards and reset cycle. The interface includes a live countdown showing exactly how long remains until the next Daily or Weekly Expedition reset.

As players progress through an Expedition, objectives become more demanding and can include changing conditions and modifiers. Successful runs can award credits, XP and additional bonuses, while perfect runs provide further rewards for completing the Expedition without losing the perfect run condition.

Expeditions are designed to give players another reason to regularly return to the water while making use of the fish, bait, locations and progression systems already available in Eggy Fishing.

Eggy Fishing & Aquarium 1.0.1 is now available following the release of XenForo 2.3.13.

This maintenance update refreshes the affected XenForo file health hash so the add-on continues to validate cleanly against the latest 2.3.x release.

No gameplay, features or other functionality have been changed.
