Is Eggy Error Watch free?

Yes. Eggy Error Watch is completely free with no paid tiers, licence checks, feature restrictions or usage limits.

Which XenForo versions are supported?

Eggy Error Watch is designed for XenForo 2.3.x.

How often does Error Watch check for new errors?

Automatic monitoring runs once per hour through XenForo’s cron system.

Does it modify or delete XenForo server errors?

No. Error Watch reads XenForo’s native Server Error Log but does not delete or modify the original error records.

Will old existing errors trigger notifications after installation?

No. Existing errors are used as the initial monitoring baseline, so notifications focus on newly logged errors.

Can I choose when email alerts are sent?

Yes. You can configure how many new errors must accumulate before a notification is triggered.

Can notifications be sent to more than one email address?

Yes. Multiple notification recipients are supported.

Can the email include details about the errors?

Yes. Error previews can be enabled, with up to 20 newly detected errors included in a notification.

Can I manually check for errors?

Yes. The dashboard includes a Run check now option so you can perform an immediate check without waiting for the next scheduled run.

Is there a way to test the notification email?

Yes. A Send test email control is included so you can confirm the configured recipient is receiving Error Watch messages.

What does Reset baseline do?

Reset baseline marks the currently logged errors as already seen. It does not delete or alter XenForo’s Server Error Log.

What happens if an email notification fails?

Pending errors are preserved rather than being discarded, allowing them to remain part of the monitoring state.

Does Error Watch replace XenForo’s Server Error Log?

No. It is designed as an alerting and monitoring layer around XenForo’s existing error log. You can still open the native Server Error Log directly from the Error Watch interface.

Does it require any external service or account?

No. Error Watch uses your existing XenForo installation and mail configuration. No external monitoring account is required.

Where is it located in the Admin Control Panel?

Eggy Error Watch appears under the shared Eggy Tools section in the XenForo Admin Control Panel.
