Q: What does Eggy Automations actually do?
Eggy Automations allows administrators to automate repetitive forum management tasks using configurable WHEN → IF → THEN workflows. You can automatically lock threads, manage sticky discussions, move threads, assign member groups and much more.
Q: Do I need programming knowledge?
No. Workflows are created directly through the XenForo Admin Control Panel. Simply choose a trigger, configure any conditions and select the actions you want performed.
Q: Which XenForo versions are supported?
Eggy Automations 1.0.0 supports XenForo 2.3.0 and newer releases within the 2.3 series. PHP 8.1 or newer is required.
Q: Can I automate multiple actions with one rule?
Yes. A single workflow can perform multiple compatible actions. For example, you can configure a rule to automatically lock and stick a newly created thread.
Q: Can automations be restricted to specific forums?
Yes. Thread workflows support forum filtering, allowing you to target specific forums without affecting discussions elsewhere.
Q: Does Eggy Automations support member management?
Yes. You can configure automations for new registrations and inactive members, including automatically adding or removing secondary user groups. Staff-account protection is also included.

Scheduled inactivity rules can evaluate existing discussions against their configured conditions. However, new-thread triggers only apply to threads created after the relevant automation has been enabled.
