I have an odd one that I've been struggling with for several days.
When I attempt to remove a specific secondary group (#20) from users, save, all goes well - but the change does not seem to stick/apply/save.
It works for other secondary usergroups, just not this one. I can add this one to people, just not un check it and remove it.
In addition, it does not show an entry in the logs -> USER CHANGE LOG when this behavior is happening. (but does for other usergroup changes)
Does anyone have any suggestions?
I have tried disabling listeners/disabling all add-ons
I have tried disabling Cloudflare and XF Botguard
I have tried disabling cache / memcached in config.php
I tried multiple browsers and anonymous mode in browser.
I tried from mobile (android) vs PC (windows 11)
I tried running rebuild caches -> clean up permissions
I tried disabling my a/v software (on the PC, not the server)
I tried renaming usergroup 20's text/name, to something different.
XF 2.3.12
CloudLinux v8.10.0 STANDARD kvm
cpanel 136.0.32
PHP version 8.3.31
MySQL version 11.4.12 (11.4.12-MariaDB-log)
PHP memory_limit 512M
PHP post_max_size 512M
PHP upload_max_filesize 512M
PHP max_input_vars 25000
PHP max_execution_time 600
cURL version 8.21.0cURL
SSL version OpenSSL/1.1.1w
OpenSSL version OpenSSL 1.1.1w 11 Sep 2023
Cloudflare
XF Botguard which also uses memcached (enabled in config.php)
Litespeed is disabled
Note: Usergroup #20 for me is one that Siropu Ads Manager manages, to indicate when an advertiser is current with an active ad. (to put a banner on their posts, etc) It normally maintains access to this group through their add on. I've always been able to manually change this myself. I turned listeners off, so I doubt this add-on is a factor, but mentioning it just in case.
Thanks in advance!
Mike
