So if they can only read the articles if they register, ie registering is an incentive, why not make subscribing the incentive. Or they get to see some articles free, but to see more they need to subscribe. But they join up to read articles and go.

Thanks yes. I had just decided to do that and then realised the flaw ....... the articles are where a lot of affiliate links are! And the affiliate links are making a bit of money. So wouldn't want to restrict access to those. Most of the extras would be for those wanting to post. Will have a think about it.So if they can only read the articles if they register, ie registering is an incentive, why not make subscribing the incentive. A fix for this is not included in the add-onI use that too - has that been solved now please?
Oh, I see, it's probably the fact that add-on uses a custom registration page. If so, you just need to do a template modification and add the following at the top of the custom registration page (or above the purchase options):It might be an update @Painbaker would need to make. The issue is when one has run out of free guest views the notice that your guest views have run out doesn't show up on the registration page when the paid registration addon is installed.
<xf:if is="$xf.options.wutime_lgv and $xf.visitor.user_id === 0">
<xf:include...
This option is only for users who are testing upgrades or using this add-on just as a feature comparison tableA query about this. Aren't all people registering guests before they register?
Thank you.A fix for this is not included in the add-on

Wait. So this should be off? I thought it was what allowed paid registration and not just paid upgrade. This option is only for users who are testing upgrades or using this add-on just as a feature comparison table
EDIT: Tested, this needs to be on for guest purchases.
Is this fixed without having to turn off guest purchases?People who are not registered on the site can purchase a membership type without being logged in. When they complete the registration, the system does not ask for payment details and shows the membership as if it has already been paid. This appears to be a bug.
The ticket we received from the member who discovered the bug is as follows:
"It’s actually very simple. You log out of your account and go to the upgrade account page. Then you click ‘Buy’ and enter your email address. When it redirects you to the account creation page, you create a new account, and the membership is automatically assigned to the account you just created."
You can connect this addon to Patreon donation Tiers, which may help with annual donation drives.as in the middle of an annual donation drive and have just added ko-fi buttons to articles.
I also don’t see extra smilies as much of an advantage incentive to subscribe. But if you want some more I’m happy to share some with you.Gave up on the idea of extra smilies as it would need development work to have different smilies for different usergroups!
Oh thank you. That would be nice.I also don’t see extra smilies as much of an advantage incentive to subscribe. But if you want some more I’m happy to share some with you.
How do the Stripe payments work, if you already have an existing Stripe Account please? Do they just work like a Stripe donation link?
Thank you.Stripe donation links can be set in the account type settings under the “External Purchase” option
But for automatic payment processing you need to set up XF Stripe payment profile
Thank you - is the XF stripe payment profile in ACP somewhere?Stripe donation links can be set in the account type settings under the “External Purchase” option

The error message says that you are trying to create an account type for a user upgrade that has already been added.Just looking at the settings and setting up my second tier, but when I go to save I'm getting "all user_upgrade_id values must be unique". Not quite sure what setting it's referring to.
Yes, ACP -> Setup -> Payment profilesThank you - is the XF stripe payment profile in ACP somewhere?
That's what I thought but I haven't added one. The basic one was already in there. So just to check the areas the addon is in acp are in setup - options and Users - paid regisration account types - is that right? Nothing else I should be looking at anywhere? The error message says that you are trying to create an account type for a user upgrade that has already been added.

You need to link the account type to a user upgrade to allow to purchase it.Another quick question - in the account type after title - user upgrade is set to none. Is it like that for all tiers? I'm just wondering how you set up the usergroups for each tier.
There's no acp preview here yet; you can only view it on the live account types pageAlso the display with the simple subscription level - can I view that to see what it looks like before going live?
