so just noticed (it is in changelog but i just saw this post) that the update has code specific for the style variant url.

i do not have anything specific that might be causing this issue. but i do hide the link to style variant for guests. that should not be causing this issue i imagine. all the errors were specific to style variant link. but also mentions the redis addon i think? i would wait for xon's response.

Please open a ticket on my site when you hit these sorts of urgent errors. Email reply notifications for a thread aren't great for urgent issues

so, after updating this, i seem to be constantly getting these server errors. it could be something else but timing of the addon download and errors sort of match lol.

I accidently depended on a function introduced in XF2.3.5+, let me get a fix for that out quickly.

There is definitely something wrong with the latest version, log out button stopped working.

What XF version? Are there any style modifications not applying?

I had to enable developer more and change execution order for template modifications.

I'll investigate why that is happening, but I'm kinda surprised. Using the per-session token in a URL is something XF is moving away from.

Can confirm that: I updated from 1.23.9 to 1.24.1 on my test forum. Checked if member self delete works immediately before the upgrade (it did) and after the upgrade (the links to the self delete option were gone).

Hi. Just established this is stopping my cookie banner working and causing a redirect. See this thread below. I disabled the crowd moderation addon first, then disabled the standard library (hope that was the right order), and then the cookie banner issue resolved. Standard library had modified the misc_cookies template. Once it was disabled the cookie banner worked.

I'm guessing this is just since I upgraded to 2.3.11 so maybe there's a conflict?

I don't use cookie consent banners (not required in my country). But I am saying, I believe your issue is supported in 2.3.11 code as a potentially introduced bug.

XF2.3.11 causes all sorts of weird problems with a number of my add-ons and I'm waiting for XenForo to release a 2.3.12 to resolve the issue.

Thank you. Reverting to simple cookie banner is ok, it's just the advanced cookie banner affected.

On XenForo v2.2.19, I had to revert from v1.24.1 back to v1.23.2 because v1.24.1 disabled the style and language choosers in the footer: they simply wouldn’t work.

I'm using this on XF v2.2.18 myself (with a backported security fix from XF2.2.19), and it works fine. Please ensure all the javascript files are uploaded.

Are all the template modifications applying? Even without those it should still work (even if it triggers an additional redirect instead)

Is it still worth holding back with updating to 2.3.11 due to the various bugs and issues it caused or should it be ok now?

It is an issue that will require XF2.3.12 to fix sadly

Can you DM or open a ticket on my site details about your site so I can troubleshoot this? This may be a compatibility issue which I would prefer to fix.

Logout button does not work (Standard Library 1.24.2, XenForo 2.2.19)


Hello,

I have found an issue with Standard Library by Xon 1.24.2 on XenForo 2.2.19.

After installing/enabling the add-on, users are unable to log out of the forum. When they click the “Log out” button in the account menu, nothing happens.

The browser console reports the following JavaScript error:

Uncaught TypeError: f is not a function
    at /js/sv/lib/link-post.min.js

I confirmed that the problem is caused by js/sv/lib/link-post.min.js. If I temporarily rename or disable this file, the Log out button works normally again.

Here is the relevant code from link-post.min.js:

          ? function(a, c, b) { return f(a).trigger(c, b) }

          : XF.trigger;

It appears that SV.$ is not a function, which causes the exception when the logout link is clicked.

I’ve attached a screenshot of the browser console showing the error.

Could you please check whether this is a compatibility issue with XenForo 2.2.19 or if there is an updated version or patch available?

It appears that SV.$ is not a function, which causes the exception when the logout link is clicked.

Oops, this occured if you didn't have any of my other add-ons loading javascript which contains XF2.2 compat shims

Thank you This fixes the cookie banner/redirect issue. I see it is still a XF bug but glad you found a way round it.
