For clarity, this is the area where "Extra User Info" appears. In the screenshot I provided above, there is no info to display. Therefore, this stripe should not be displaying.

Sorry for the false alert. I figured it out. You have to remove the default auto margin from the Positions menu on the backend. It was conflicting with my CSS settings.
