The problem comes when you try to login, that's when the error appears (see my OP). When I try to login to admin, I just get the M appearing after a couple of seconds under the username box.

Have tried everything and am at a bit of a loss to be honest. This error only occurred after I upgraded, the database seems to have been upgraded OK (got a different number of tables), and had the successful upgrade message. Have tried rebuilding the master data with no luck.

I would normally look at my server error logs in the admin back end, but I can't access it. I take it I should be able to access something in my host CPanel.

Just an update, have got my forum icons back, just missing that smilie image now. You know, the smilie which shows up beside the dropdown when you are in the posting area.

I don't mean actual posts thread pages, I mean the list of threads from the main forum view. Say, for example, only show pages of threads from the last year.

As has been said already, people need to remember this is beta software working towards an initial gold 1.0 release, really they shouldn't be adding functionality as is (although the added functionality is welcome, especially the CAPTCHA). Let them release Gold first and then look at adding on...

I have done a test import on my board, which has just shy of 800,000 posts and 6,000 members, and it went without a hitch. Took around 4 hours in total once I'd rebuilt the search etc. Not running it live yet because, as Kier says, the software is still in beta but I'd be happy going live with...
