This should definitely be in core. Some of my users' message counts were reset to zero by the software, so the software should be able to fix it.

I don't recall seeing that information on the resource page. You should consider adding it to help people avoid confusion when testing the add-on.

Does that mean if I have a notification turned off for an alert, but I have it turned on for pushover, that I will not get the push notification? If that's true, it would explain some things. I got a push last night, so it is working.

I have all notifications turned on except for when someone likes a resource. I also have all of the server error log and users awaiting approval. The notifications are enabled in my external account preferences as well.

The only solution was for me to switch web hosts and move to a completely different server. I assume something went wrong with the hardware the VPS I was on, but the technical support people all told me there were no problems with it. It was very strange and frustrating. I've never felt so...

I was wrong. It still crashed even without the Similar Threads add-on. It just took longer. It took about 18 hours to crash instead of about a half hour like it does with the Similar Theads add-on enabled. Does anyone have any advice?
