    Message Auto Save / Drafts

No, they aren't at this time. It's all behind-the-scenes and any saved content is automatically displayed in the editor when you re-open the page.

    Message Auto Save / Drafts

moman submitted a new resource: Message Auto Save / Drafts (version 0.1) - Auto-saves your posts seamlessly so you don't lose anything if your browser crashes. Read more about this resource...

Unmaintained Message Auto Save / Drafts 0.1

This simple client-side add-on saves messages on-the-fly so that if you close your browser on accident or your computer crashes, your post will still be in the editor when you navigate back to where you were. The way it works is easy: as you type a message, it gets stored in your browser's...

+1 for the update. With this enabled, users can't save their signatures.

Message Auto Save / Drafts - Prevent Members from Losing Content

I've updated the ZIP with the conditional needed for the script not to be included on the signature edit page. Enjoy!

    XCache or APC?

You are right. It looks like Wikipedia lied: 5.4 B1 did not bundle APC so it looks like we'll have to wait for it...guess they prioritized other things (look at all the syntax changes!). Maybe they thought APC isn't stable enough yet? I installed it on my server and if I don't allocate...

    XCache or APC?

In practice, you won't see a difference. However, since APC is now bundled with PHP 5.4, if/when you upgrade to that, you won't need to worry about ever again installing a separate opcode cacher. As far as caching objects goes, I'd go with memcached as it offers a great PHP API.

Message Auto Save / Drafts - Prevent Members from Losing Content

So, it looks like we need to disable the mod unless we are on the conversations page, making a new thread/reply or viewing a thread. Wrapping the template edit in a conditional should suffice. As I'm not too versed with the xF framework quite yet, could anything give me some pointers on what...

Message Auto Save / Drafts - Prevent Members from Losing Content

It looks like a css tag that should normally be there isn't. I don't see why my script would cause this (it simply registers a callback via the tinymce framework, no hacks or anything), though there so much code firing left and right that you really can't be sure. Is your HTML valid?

    Can you tag keywords

Yup my bad, forgot the search in there. Edited! But in all seriousness, the enhanced search can even find single-letter keywords, and that's a first for commercial forum software I believe. On my site, people discuss a camera called the "Pentax Q". Since vBulletin's search is terrible, when...

    Can you tag keywords

Xenforo's enhanced search is (IMO) powerful enough that it makes a tagging system unnecessary, though I'm sure if you asked a coder they would gladly come up with a tagging system for you as a custom mod.

    ImageMagick PECL Resizing

You would need to attach a large photo that contains metadata, then download it and see if the metadata is still there. Here is a photo that's quite large that you could test this with: http://www.pentaxforums.com/gallery/images/21729/1_IMGP1780-1.jpg If you scroll down to the bottom here...

    ImageMagick PECL Resizing

Hello, Do you know whether or not the PECL imagemagick extension strips EXIF data when resizing photos? GD does, and it's quite annoying for our members (we're a photo forum). If imagemagick turns out to be better, then I'll go ahead and install it and enable it.

Verifying that ES is running properly

Not yet- but I'm not worried about that as much as I am all the mods I've written for vB. Sure, not all of them have to be ported, but there are a lot of custom sections that contain content that would have to be re-written/re-integrated with xF. http://www.pentaxforums.com/lensreviews/
