The only issue is the search drop down on the main index of forums / index.php doesn't have the dropdown.
When viewing a thread or in a forum the Search does show this feature,

Fantastic addon, made life so much easier when converting from VB3. The only issue we have is 301 errors as google trying to locate the old archive posts in VB.
Is there anyway to locate these in XF2 and redirect to them?
We’ve just added them today to trial, have a look. The top advert in the header is bing ad, rest are Adsense Auto Ads. We’re not too keen on the vingerette ads, but we’ll see.

I ran an import on a pretty big forum on VB 3.8.6 (Familiar V as yours) and it practically imported everything in smoothely.
We had to tweak and change permissions, add moderators explicitly etc but other than that it was near perfect.
XF team have done amazing.
Easiest way to get something close would be to use a basic css class. Add the following;
white-space: normal;
This should prevent the words from breaking, make it show something like;
