I feel post edit history is a mandatory function that needs to be implemented, at least to me it is anyways.

I don't agree with that. Lets say someone has a slow connection, they are now forced to a new page, which is going to take more time.

When modifying a post, you are forced to go to a new page to modifying that post. I don't see any reason why you should need to leave the page you are currently on.

I completely agree with you, but I think it would be best to let the site administrator decide weather he wants this option to be user-group based ect, as we would not want to limit the administrator control. It seems like in your case, you may want to set a specific user-group to use this...

Yes, but it does control a user rep. Anyways, I'm not here to argue with you. If you do not like the feature, just do not click the like button. I can think of many ways around your argument, like the following. 1. Do not turn the option on. 2. Only give the option to certain usergroups. Ect...

I understand your point, but keep in mind anything can be abused, even the 'like' button can be abused, does not mean we should remove it. Also take into consideration that you would be able to disable this feature. Not everyone needs to use this feature if they do not want to.
