Lack of interest [Suggestion] Integrated Classifieds/Auctions

Apologies for the late reply and bump, but you know how it is :p I was not flat-out promoting dedicated classified functionality, as I say even allowing for something small like user selectable thread pre-fixes to be toggled on/off for a particular section by admin is adequate in itself. This...

Lack of interest [Suggestion] Integrated Classifieds/Auctions

@ MGSteve, why the rather flat dismissal of classified when on many large professional boards it is as busy if not busier than the main discussion sections. I thought XF is touting itself as a serious new competitor on the scene? As stated it is a good traffic builder. VB allows for drop-down...

    Implemented Post Edit History

I think this should go in big features :p As a classified moderator on the forum I come from this feature is essential. And since bringing it in and the members knowing about it, I hardly ever have to deal with members who will edit a post to steal an item. Without it we simply did not allow...

    BB Code

I only want to add that on the forum I come from there is a persistent issue with spoiler covered text showing up on email subscriptions! Obviously far from ideal. So if and when XF implement spoiler tags, just test with emails to ensure proper functionality :p

Lack of interest [Suggestion] A bump button

Your're right. When I say "standard" I mean built in, and leave it to the discretion of a site owner where and when to enable. The functionality in say a classified forum would be most relevant, rather than a normal discussion thread as I see it :) It is seemingly timed at 24 hour intervals or...

Lack of interest [Suggestion] A bump button

Search did not yield such a result but scouring the interweb I saw something very interesting Classifieds & Market Watch rules - The Fountain Pen Network I think this should be a standard platform across all forum software. In particular it would be very useful in a classified section

Lack of interest [Suggestion] Search boxes

I second this suggestion. I really really like the search box. Really like it. But a bit of tweaking to allow for context searching without having to click back and forth would be dreamy

What is the purpose of likes and trophies? And this seeming fascination with replicating Facebook

I am sure I can get used to anything and my site owner is intending to convert soon enough. And I do love that search box. I just want to understand some of these thought processes as I am informed this is still the development stage and all opinions may influence  :D

What is the purpose of likes and trophies? And this seeming fascination with replicating Facebook

Hi people Not sure if this should go in the Suggestions forum, feel free to move :p By way of background filling in I will quote a portion of my first ever post (from the infraction system development thread): On the forum I come from the "Thanks" system is employed. Essentially XF's...

Give User an Option to self-delete their Account

You may have checks but actually the feature can still be abused. All it takes it a stray login at work or home and someone who thinks they are a comedian Anyway in my experience people who sincerely wish to leave will do so. A high proportion of what I would call attention seekers (I have no...

Give User an Option to self-delete their Account

I've always regarded changing a forum feature as a two way process and a site owner should be recipient to feedback over any change. Likewise with any infraction. Allowing people to automatically delete their own accounts will result in people removing themselves in the heat of the moment...

Implemented Infraction System: *please* make it friendly to the enduser

I am a moderator on a large UK based forum where the site owner is prospectively looking to change to xenForo from VB I am informed some of the design decisions made in the development of XF is in recognition of the way social media sites are embedded into internet culture in 2010. That is...
