So since with phpBB it only mentions 3.0, what would happen if I tried to import a 3.1 installation? Would the importer refuse to altogether, or would it do it with some errors?
I used to swear by the likes of phpBB etc, but wouldn't touch vBulletin with a 5000 mile pole. Now I've seen XenForo, nothing else will do for me. The vast flexibility alone makes the price more than worthwhile. :)
Can the latest version of XenForo import from phpBB 3.1.2? It's just that I noticed that the release date for phpBB 3.1.2 was a few days after the latest version of XenForo.
Jeez, that was quick! :D
Thanks for the reply. ;)
Are there any plans in the future to make it so that data is imported?
Plus, are custom rankings for when a user reaches a certain amount of posts imported, or are they left behind as well?
In my current phpBB based forum, I have moderators group set to blue colour code, ordinary users set to green colour code, and the administrator group set to red colour code.
Now I was wondering, if when I import my phpBB based forum into XenForo using the 'Import External Data' tool, will the...

Congratulations on the move, I'm pleased it all went well for you! You've helped boost my inspiration to upgrade my jaded looking phpBB board to the latest version of xenForo! ;)
But a lot of American website owners put up a cookie notice on their sites anyway and have it so it only shows if you are outside the EU, (I've tried visiting such sites with an American, Canadian etc proxy, and the cookie message never appears).
I like Xenforo so much so that I would rather eat one of my own arms or legs than go back to the likes of vBulletin or phpBB! I mean, one thing I did like about vBulletin was it's default emoticons, but at least I can plant them into my installation of XenForo and use them in place of the...
Maybe you should start charging a verification fee during sign up to "discourage" potential trouble makers, just like what a certain showbiz and media website did with it's forums at one point! ;)
Is it true that XenForo is more efficient than phpBB at handling large threads with several thousands of posts? It's just that someone told me that with phpBB, querying large threads with several thousand posts from the database is something phpBB handles very poorly indeed, whereas with...
