I was in a conversation, as thats what the forums are for on a post, discussing about the xenforo 2.0 status. We are all different and everyone has his opinion, i dont want, nor i care to change somebody's opinion, i just post mine...but that was deleted, mine and many others with the excuse...

Nonetheless any company thats getting bigger gets more staff, how many developers they were in vBulletin? How many developers are on IPB? 3? IPB 4 was announced roughly the same time with XF 2...and IPB has not just one forum platform to rewrite, they have IP Photos, IP Nexus, IP Download, IP...

With all due the respect but this 2.0 has been taken too long. Marketing wise i think it would be much better to announce their plans for a 2.0 version when they were able to make it happen. They announced it summer 2014, its been a year and a half, it would be much better not to announce it

2017 is too soon...maybe 2018-2019 :P

I have to agree. Why the heck announce something and then don't say anything about it, nothing at all. Give us something, plans, progress, what to expect...something....

I say, branding, is a way of getting money even of..."free" addons ;) think about it...you label it FREE then people then ask money for removing the branding..

Yes i can agree on that. There are many paid addons that are critical and could be in the core. Which makes life hard when the author abandons them and yes there are many of those

Yeah IPS4 released really slowly, but they changed everything, its still unstable and not solid atm
