XF 2.2 ZipArchive class does not exist

Good morning, I got the same error today, as I tried to install the latest update via the admin panel: So I tried "apt-get install php-zip", and my Linux box replied: What can I do now? The previous updates went without any problem, so I'm a bit astonished, why this happened not before...

disallow AI training using the forum's content

Thanks, Rusty Snippets - I will give this a try, and will release Huawei for a few days from the PHP die; But I suspect that companies that try to cloak they access will not follow such rules. It is my impression that they are striving for more information to get their AIs trained, so they...

disallow AI training using the forum's content

Thank you for all the replies. I don't mind if the content of the database shows up in Google or Bing, but I refuse to give bandwidth to someone from China (with IPs located in the US) who can't make real use of what we provide, and who behave like a bot but doesn't identify in any way. With...

disallow AI training using the forum's content

Hello, since the AI hype started, I noticed more than once that companies started to search our forum in a way that works almost as a DDOS. We are a small hobby project, and those request (that often do not follow robots.txt directives) block our bandwidth. Amaz*n, Faceb**k, Huaw*i - I could...

    Calendar [Paid]

Hello, normally AndyB responds very quick. On the overview page you see his home page (where you also would buy this addon), maybe you register there and ask him there?

    [OzzModz] Contact Us Thread

You're correct with that - almost. We run a special interest group forum, and we defined (in XF) specific Q&A. If the contact us form would use this Q&A checking, we could rule out most of that (currently) XEvil-Spam. That was the idea behind my question.

    [OzzModz] Contact Us Thread

Hello, we receive a lot of spam via the contact us form. Is there any way to use the catcha system that is defined in XenForo? The XenForo spam detecting seems not able to identify those spammers. Thanks in advance, Georg

    [OzzModz] Contact Us Thread

Hi, Xon - I'm sorry for the discontinuation - this was a small, nice tool that did what was needed for visitors to get in touch with me. The Ticket System is too much overkill for that task. It was great (and will be great) as long as it lasts.

    [TH] DataTables BB Code [Deleted]

Hello, from my point of view, a good structured regular expression should do. But I'm not a regexp guru - I only had a few tables that I migrated by hand.

    [TH] DataTables BB Code [Deleted]

Hello, Frank - since 2.0 XenForo has Table-BBCodes. They are not compatible with the ones that this AddOn used, but they can be translated with a little effort.

XF 2.1 How to address a specific post?

Hello, under XF 1.5 I could address a specific post by using an URL like mysite.com/forums/posts/12345 I keep references to posts I made, and in the past it was enough to have the post ID to construct an URL to bring up the post (along with the associated thread) in a browser. Under 2.1 this...
