XF 2.0 Mass spammer in our forums as well as Xenforo Community

Is this a sign of a vulnerability in XenForo? We have been getting hundreds of similar posts on our site and I came here to check up on recent posts just to see the very same spam being posted in the forums. XF Admin may also have reports of server errors – "MySQL query error [1062]: Duplicate...

    Need help with cache setup

I am pretty sure that the extension should be memcached and not just memcache in the phpinfo page. It should also reference libmemcached in the phpinfo (my phpinfo section on memcached below):

    AWS / CloudFront

Hi, A quick search of your posts indicate that the issue may lie with the server configuration eg http and php processing, as well as caches (are the requisite cache add-ons installed and enabled?). TTFB of more than 10 seconds is obviously really bad. My configuration on AWS running...

    Question on Nginx threads writing

Ooops, not sure where I got the version number wrong. 1.13.12 is the version on the live server now.

    Question on Nginx threads writing

Just to close off this thread. Updating Nginx to 1.11.3 solved the issue for me. Nginx memory usage also dropped by half so bonus!

    Question on Nginx threads writing

Ah that could explain it. We are on 1.10.3 on Ubuntu 16.04LTS at the moment and I will update it to 1.11.x now. Thank you. p.s. glad to bump into you here. We have had some interactions before on the vBulletin forums, and your guides on how to update vBulletin and general tuning have helped me...

    Question on Nginx threads writing

A question for the Nginx experts in here. Is it normal for the Nginx threads that are actively writing to steadily increase? Please see our Munin graphs attached.

    XF2 [8WR] XenPorta 2 (Portal) PRO [Paid]

Update: I spun up another test instance using last night's DB backup to test. So, on XF 2.0.4 and only updating the XenPorta add-on to 2.0.21. Same result. Image attachments in Portal articles do not show up, and also Image links are broken. Update of the update: If I change the URL of the...

    XF2 [8WR] XenPorta 2 (Portal) PRO [Paid]

That's on the live site which I have not updated yet. :) I never, ever, update a live site without testing and always test on a development server to make sure that everything works together. That said, small issues do get past, but this image attachment issue is a big one.

    XF2 [8WR] XenPorta 2 (Portal) PRO [Paid]

Hi Jaxel, There seems to be an issue with attachments not showing up in articles. We just updated our test site to XF 2.0.5, and also updated a whole bunch of add-ons including XenPorta to 2.0.21. Now all attachments in the articles do not show up in the portal view. The highlighted areas...

    [OzzModz] Advanced Forms [Deleted]

I would definitely support this enhancement request. Our previous forms add-on scripts on VB4 had conditional fields & response, and for XF2 we had to kind of lump together the required answers into one selection which is not ideal. Example Implementation: Equipment Type selection would affect...

    XF 2.0 300k threads, 5M posts

I am not a code monkey by any definition of the word, so I am not qualified to comment on the quality (or lack thereof) of the code. All I know is that it worked for us. Disclosure: I did engage Slavik to do a trial import after I had issues configuring, and potentially he may have fixed the...

    XF 2.0 300k threads, 5M posts

Most welcome, glad to be able to offer some assistance. We are hosted on AWS and have specified SSDs for both the web and database instances. During the migration process, we increased the CPU and memory size of the DB instance. We didn't run into any issue reading data off the DB as part of...

    XF 2.0 300k threads, 5M posts

We recently migrated from VB4 to XF2, and we had to take a slightly indirect route, see this post – Link. Long story short – you may need to use the Big Board Importer to perform the same steps as us.
