Thanks for prompt response. Have it set up through Notices, but can't get it to display. Notice system is enabled, notice is created, options chosen (notice is active), and page criteria set. Probably one of my options is incorrect or not selected. I'll keep staring at it.

How would I add some text letting folks know that they need to "Click the DOWNLOAD button" to access a resource. A small number of members don't see the Download button, and report that they only see the title of a resource. (It takes al kinds). TIA.

Apologies if this has been answered before ... Is there a redirect script for a forum imported from SMF 2.x to Xenforo? I see mention of scripts for vB 3.x & vB 4.x and IPB 3.x. If no script for SMF, how do folks create the necessary redirects? TIA.

OK thanks. FWIW I won't be copying the first (test) site, just installing XF on the second (production) site. Wanted to be sure I wouldn't run afoul of any rules.

I'm thinking of buying XF and installing on a test site, give it a workout, then deciding if I want to install on a production site (different domain). Would I be able to move/re-install it? I read somewhere that it's permissible to have XF on a main site and another copy on a test site, but...

Based on the lack of 'likes', I have to conclude that a converter won't be implemented any time soon; My single 'like' would do nothing to change the statistics.. Understood, but it might be a case of chicken and egg. If that's the criteria for determining "perceived need", then I think that's a big mistake. I rarely, if ever, 'like' anything. I've said my piece, so I'll bow out of the discussion. Suffice to say I won't be waiting around forever...

Agreed, but we don't know what other projects are keeping the developer(s) busy. Meanwhile, I'm not sure how we get anyone's attention to address this issue. Meanwhile, I've tried a couple of migrations (conversions) to other platforms, including phpBB, and they haven't worked. It's possible...
