I upgraded to 2.2.3 from 1.5.24. The forum only works and appears normally for logged in users. However, non-logged in users only see a textual version of the website! It seems to display the old (cached?) version of xenforo 1, it even displays the old adsense from xenforo 1. How do I solve it?

I honestly tried. As I've described above, what happens is that edits to my staging site affect my live site. The instructions do not refer to edits to the htaccess but I think they may be warranted
