    thanks Paul let me have a read of that i see it's for message, I want to limit conversations the spam issue, a small % of scammers are registering and getting through the spam controls then sending volumes of direct messages, not posting on the forum, that is what I need to restrict

    Spam management issue Q, does xf2.2 out of the box allow me to restrict private conversations for new users, until they have posted a certain number of times on the open forum.

    just to bring this problem back up, did we get a solution for this Conversation spam issue ? to in effect tone down the spam controls for conversations, whilst it is a rare issue, it still can cause the occasion issue

    @jeb35 that's how it occured (y) default max spam messages was set to 30 by the time i was online there were already 50 messages, thus the spam control didn't register that would be my conclusion

    report function works the place where the spam button should, it is not, therefore no spam controls can be actioned all i can do is comment on the report

    yes, full control, it was working fine, now has completely stopped if i report a post, it goes into the report queue but nothing else

    had a volume of spam in the last few hours which was reported by the community but the spam controls did not activate, nothing where the button should be no server errors showing up, has this occured before ? what's the fix
