Lack of interest zoom on lightbox

very often (in addon's screenshots for example) we have to view the original image in a new tab to be able to see it properly.

how about adding the possibility to zoom on click or mouse over directly into the lightbox?

Can you link to a resource which opens the image in a new tab?

Attached thumbnails already open in the lightbox when clicked.

Attached full size images zoom to full size when clicked.

last image is unreadable in lightbox and have to be opened in a new tab/window and then zoomed.

but this is only an (maybe stupid) example, zoom will be more useful than the example above if RM is used for products

All of the images appear fine for me in the lightbox, including the last one.

You also have the option of clicking the link at the top of the lightbox to view the image in a new browser tab.

Yes, but of course it completely depends on the width of the device you are using.

Exactly, and my suggestion is about to make it resolution independent.

with just 6 - 8 (small size) (few kb) attachments on a message, the lightbox is very slow.
I also would like to test some kind of zoom or even have the possibility to open all the thumbnails with full size by default, like this:
