Yet Another New Tabs in Navigation question

I'm fluent enough in the framework to create a new tab that links to a page using Ragtek's archived tutorial here:

Is it easy enough to change the class so that the tab can use an onclick event rather than a href? I can't seem to figure that out.

I can do it with a change to the navigation template, but I was trying to keep it a little cleaner and use a code event listener for it.

You're better off doing your onclick event in JavaScript, rather than adding the event in the PHP.
