Hello,


I would like to report an issue with the XTR Dynamic Welcome Panel add-on.


I am running XenForo 2.3.8 and the add-on is installed and configured correctly. All display settings are properly set and there are no usergroup restrictions for registered users. Guests are intentionally disabled, because otherwise the server load increases to an extreme and unacceptable level, which is already a serious issue by itself. The required template positions are present and the behavior was tested both with a custom style and with the XenForo default style.


Despite the correct configuration, the welcome panel is not displayed at all. It does not appear on the forum index or at any other configured position.


In addition, the server load rises massively immediately after enabling the add-on, even though the panel itself is not visible. As soon as the add-on is disabled, the server load returns to normal instantly. For this reason, enabling the panel for guests is currently not possible.


The system is fully up to date and stable, PHP 8.3 is used, and only Memcached is enabled for caching. There are no PHP errors visible in the XenForo error logs. From a user perspective everything is configured correctly, but the add-on does not work as expected.


In its current state, the add-on is not usable in production. I would appreciate clarification on whether the add-on is fully compatible with XenForo 2.3.8, which exact template hook or position is required for rendering, and why guest access in particular causes such extreme server load.

We have received your reports regarding the server load and display issues with the [XTR] Dynamic Welcome Panel add-on. Following a detailed technical analysis, the heavy database queries causing server load have been optimized using XenForo's native caching system, and the cache collision issue (displaying incorrect user data) has been completely resolved. Additionally, compatibility with custom styles has been improved, and 3rd-party add-on integrations have been refined.

All these fixes will be resolved in the upcoming 1.0.3 release.
