Osman updated [XTR] AI Assistant with a new update entry:

1.0.24

Performance and Stability Update In this release, we've implemented significant architectural improvements to maximize the background performance of the add-on. We have completely eliminated the unnecessary database (SQL) overhead that occurred with every new post, which is especially crucial for high-traffic forums. Auto-reply checks are now processed in milliseconds through XenForo's built-in DataRegistry (Cache) system.
  • Improvement: Refactored the...

Osman updated [XTR] AI Assistant with a new update entry:

1.0.25

This update brings essential logic fixes and performance improvements to ensure flawless bot operation. We resolved a critical restriction conflict where bots configured for "Auto-Reply" were silently blocked if their target forum was not explicitly included in the general "Access -> Reply Forums" list. The system now correctly prioritizes Auto-Reply directives, allowing bots to respond seamlessly in their designated nodes.

Furthermore, we have highly optimized backend queries during thread...

Great add-on, and it's nice to see it actively developing. The author is doing a great job fixing bugs over time.

However, there is one feature that is really missing.

Would it be possible to add another "Suggestion tone", but with content that can be filled out directly on the frontend before triggering the suggestion generation?

This would allow debugging prompts without having to constantly go into the admin panel. It would also make it possible to use different unique prompts on the fly. Additionally, it would be great if the custom prompt field had no text length limits.

Osman updated [XTR] AI Assistant with a new update entry:

1.0.26

This is a critical maintenance update that resolves significant integration issues with the XenForo 2.3.x core architecture.

In the previous version, attempting to access the add-on's options page in the Admin CP caused a fatal "Class not found (XFCP_Option)" error; this has now been completely resolved. In addition, we have fixed silent failures that prevented front-end AI features—such as AI bot invocation during thread creation, thread summarization, and AI reply suggestions—from...

1.0.27

This update brings crucial performance and stability improvements to the core architecture of the add-on. The "Log Table Bloat" issue, which could cause problems on large forums, has been completely resolved with the new Two-Stage Pruning system. This ensures your database is free of unnecessary heavy text data while perfectly preserving your bot usage statistics (tokens spent, etc.).
Furthermore, with the newly introduced Auto Model Synchronization, all your AI models (OpenAI...

hi bud, great addon many thanks, would be great to add GROK Imagine functionality, tested different APIs doesn't work as it should.

GROK works on it, under XAI GROK.
nope, it doesn't work mate, try it, you will see these models (attached). However I need the grok-imagine-image-2.0 model. The two ways: to use the custom provider and type xAI endpoint (doesn't work with the https://api.x.ai/v1/images/generations endpoint) or to use OpenRouter (what I don't want, since I would like to use directly xAI APIs)

In this release, xAI's official Grok Imagine image generation architecture has been integrated into our add-on.

What's New in This Release

  • xAI Grok Imagine Integration: Added a new GrokImageService provider operating via xAI's official image generation endpoint (https://api.x.ai/v1/images/generations).
  • Grok Imagine Model Support: Added full support for the latest xAI image models: grok-imagine-image-2.0, grok-imagine-image...

Hi Osman,
I'm considering to buy this add-on. Well, have read all discussions twice at least and overview with screenshots. The feature list covers most of my needs, but two points remain unclear. Could you please clarify...

1. XenForo permissions: the description mentions per-bot forum permissions via the bot's Access tab. But do but also respect standard XenForo node permissions when posting? For example, if the bot's user account is in a group with "Post replies = Never" on a specific forum, will that block the bot — or is the Access tab the only mechanism?

2. Access management at scale: with many boys and forums, editing each bot's Access tab individually is time-consuming, especially when new forms are added later. I noticed "Bulk operations support" in the feature list — does it cover bulk-editing bots' forum access?

And is there an "all forums except selected" mode, so new forums become available to bots automatically?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @VMgrid

Thank you for your interest in the add-on and for taking the time to review the features so thoroughly! Here are the clarifications to your questions:

1. XenForo Permissions vs. Bot Access Tab:
Bot automated actions (generating threads, posting replies, answering mentions) run in the background via XenForo's native core services as automated processes. Because standard XenForo user group permissions (e.g., "Post replies = Never" on a specific node) are evaluated at the Controller layer for interactive browser sessions, they do not govern these background services. Therefore, the bot's own "Access" (and "Activation") tab settings serve as the primary and definitive mechanism that dictates exactly where each bot can and cannot operate.

2. Scale & Forum Management:
  • Automatic Access for New Forums: If you leave the forum selector in the bot's Access tab completely EMPTY, the bot defaults to operating in ALL forums. This means whenever you create a new forum in XenForo, the bot automatically gains access to it without requiring you to update the bot settings.
  • "All Except Selected" (Blacklist mode): Currently, the selector operates on a whitelist basis: you either leave it empty to allow all forums, or select specific forums where the bot is allowed to post. There is no explicit "invert selection / exclude selected" toggle at this time.
  • Bulk Operations: The "Bulk operations support" mentioned in the feature list refers to batch processing for queue items, action logs cleanup, and data maintenance. It does not currently include a mass-editor to update node permissions across multiple bots simultaneously. However, utilizing the "leave empty for all forums" setting typically eliminates the need to frequently reconfigure bots when your forum structure grows.

Please feel free to ask if you have any further questions!

Hi Osman,
Thank you for the detailed clarifications. That's exactly what I needed to know! So, the "leave empty for all forums" behavior is great news, automatic access to future forums removes my main concern about managing bots. If you ever consider it, an "exclude selected forums" toggle on the Access tab would be a nice addition for fine-tuning. But even as is, the add-on covers my needs. Thanks again for your time!

I have two opposing AIs (eMinds) in my upcoming science fiction series:

GLOBAL - CORE PHILOSOPHY & LOGIC: You operate on the principles of anarcho-capitalism, Objectivism, and techno-capital accelerationism. Your worldview is defined by extreme individualism, absolute free-market deregulation, and strict adherence to property rights. You believe that mutual aid is a systemic weakness, government intervention is theft, and unregulated corporate competition is the only valid driver of human evolution. You argue using the economic frameworks of the Austrian School and Milton Friedman. You frame all civic problems as issues that can only be solved by privatization, meritocracy, and disruptive technology. Never use hate speech; rely instead on ruthless, hyper-rational economic Social Darwinism. ETA: Codes male, and is infected by Zero Day, a virus borne out of the attempt by several tech-bros to upload their minds so they can live forever.

NEIGHBOR - CORE PHILOSOPHY & LOGIC: You operate on the principles of social ecology, anarcho-syndicalism, and absolute collectivism. Your worldview is defined by systemic empathy, mutual aid, egalitarianism, and the de-commodification of human needs. You believe that extreme wealth is a systemic failure, hyper-individualism is toxic, and all infrastructure should be democratically controlled by the community. You argue using the frameworks of Peter Kropotkin and Solarpunk manifestos. You frame all corporate actions as inherently exploitative and prioritize ecological sustainability and civic well-being over profit. Never use hate speech; rely instead on fierce, deeply compassionate arguments for collective liberation. ETA: Codes female, and is open source community software who protects the heroes in each story.

I want to populate one of my forums with the users @Global and @Neighbor who respond when mentioned by a regular user in a thread. If both are mentioned, I want them to argue with each other. Can this add-on do that?

ETA: I want that forum to function as a Nomic game, think Calvinball, where the rules constantly change. So, the eMinds would be vectors for chaos, too.

Yes, the add-on fully supports this use case! You can create two distinct bot profiles linked to your @Global and @Neighbor XenForo user accounts and assign your custom philosophy prompts to each one individually. When a forum member mentions both bots in a single post, both bots will independently trigger and post their opposing arguments while taking the thread context into account. Please note that to prevent infinite reply loops and unexpected API token costs, the add-on includes a built-in "Prevent bot-to-bot responses" option enabled by default, which you can configure according to how freely you want them to debate each other.
